EmpowHERment Mentoring Program Application

Mentorship is one of the most rewarding experiences we will have, but it requires a solid commitment to maximizing outcomes. Please review the mentor commitment criteria below.
  • Mentors complete the mentorship application form
  • Mentors commit to 12 month period with her mentee
  • Mentors spend at least four hours per month with her mentee
  • Mentors empower and support the girl in a safe and nurturing environment, utilizing best practices under iSparkle2 guidelines
  • Mentors pass a background check
  • Mentors agree to participate in a two-hour mentorship training
  • Mentors agree to participate and complete an exit survey
  • Mentors agree to review and sign the mentorship agreement
  • Mentors participate in bi-monthly community events with other mentors and mentees
  • Mentors must be fluent in English
  • Mentors must have experience working with youth, tutoring, or mentoring preferred
  • Must have a strong commitment to social justice and community engagement
  • Must believe in the power of adolescent girls to create positive change in their communities and the world?
  • Most important, mentors must be a women with a positive attitude, strong character, and a commitment to the continuum of iSparkle2
